Be the Change
An ever evolving skill set combined with an ability to learn, unlearn and relearn is at the heart of success at the modern workplace.
The Professional™ is one of our flagship programs that inspires several 'moments of truth' for young professionals to introspect and act upon. One such potential 'ahaa' moment is realizing that a job is special not because of what it entails but quite simply because you are doing it. The idea is to help create – across industries and verticals – consummate professionals who are personable, warm and humane. Professionals with the mind of an assassin and the heart of a poet.
Communication Skills
The importance of communication is central and its significance cannot be overemphasized in the present business environment. Yet, all too often, given the sheer breadth of the subject, it is easy to miss the forest for the trees. This clutter-breaking workshop focuses on the tenets of communication – body language, words, structure - for both conversation and action. The objective is to build self- awareness while communicating and be able to identify and align oneself with different communication styles.
Presentation Skills
Presentation is an inexact term, for the lines between what constitutes a presentation and what does not are blurring all the time. Just the way you walk, for instance, is your autobiography in motion. The internet is littered with an endless stream of 'secrets' & 'tips' for great presentations. Well, the secret is that there is no secret. What works phenomenally well for one person simply doesn't cut it for someone else. Some rules though remain constant. Being your natural self for instance. So whether its an elevator pitch to a client or a parent teacher meeting to meeting people in informal contexts, presentation is a skill that is quintessential in a world where perception is reality.
Creativity & Innovation
Disruptive innovation = Non linear breakthroughs. What is incremental versus what is radical. Much has been said and repeated on the significance of thinking outside the box. This workshop - besides introducing new techniques, ideas and simulations - enables individuals, teams and organizations to work both within the existing frameworks as also crystallize 'game changing' ideas. Most importantly it helps develop the wisdom and the discernment to optimize the mix of the two for best results.
Personal Effectiveness
Most things that are worth doing are worth doing well. But it is as important to do the right thing as it is do things right. The objective of this program is two fold: a) help identify things that you must and manage and delegate those that can be executed with minimum or no loss in output by others. By prioritizing, the individual is able to maximize impact as also get things done. b) Increase effectiveness by illuminating and enlarging the field of self -awareness through consciousness thereby increasing effectiveness.
Work-Life Balance
If the only thing constant about the universe is change, it is fair to say that the only thing constant in life is stress. Stress that is visible. Stress that, importantly, is subliminal. Stress that finds its way to seep into perfectly 'normal' every day lives. Stress that leads to imbalance. This workshop is a step towards restoring balance through awareness, internalization and an assortment of techniques.
Time Management
Time is the most democratic resource available. There are unlimited things to do at any point in time and limited mental bandwidth and timespan in which to do them. Understanding the macro perspective whilst effectively managing the specifics and reconciling the two is a key skill required to navigate both our professional and personal lives. This program combines some of the timeless principles of time management with the contemporary array of tools and devices available that help you enable and sustain control over your time and by extension over your life.
Conflict Management
Conflicts are normal, desirable, healthy and even intrinsically inevitable in the face of diverse functions and roles having different motivations and priorities. The ability to distinguish between a functional and a personal conflict and being able to confront without getting personal is at the heart of effective conflict management. This skill building workshop enables the participants to become consensus builders and develop the competence of taking the self out of the equation when faced with a conflict.
Listening & Probing
Listening is by some distance the most important skill in communication and paradoxically also the most underrated and the least used one. This program enables the participant to suspend judgment, and listen to understand and just to reply. Probing is a gentle investigation to obtain all relevant and necessary information whilst seamlessly narrowing down the alternatives to available predetermined choices.
Interviewing Skills
Recruitment decisions have a far reaching impact on the team and company fortunes. Interviewing skills help both in reading the lines and the subtext therein as also in lending direction and control during the process. An eclectic mix of preparedness and spontaneity is best suited to conduct meaningful and effective interviews. This workshop blends cognitive skills and psychometric understanding with practical techniques to aid participants emerge as better interviewers.
